The Diabetes Sensor analyzes the individual risk of developing diabetes and provides recommendations for prevention.

Diabetes mellitus, also known as the "sugar disease," has become a widespread epidemic in the last few decades, with around seven million people in Germany affected by the metabolic disorder, with approximately 95% being diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. The regulation of blood sugar levels is impaired in individuals with diabetes, leading to persistently elevated levels. Common symptoms include excessive thirst, frequent urination, dry skin with itching, fatigue, and weakness. If left untreated, the disease can damage various organs and vessels, including the retina (diabetic retinopathy), kidneys (diabetic nephropathy), and the entire cardiovascular system.

Although factors such as poor diet and obesity can contribute to the development of diabetes, our genetic predisposition is the main determinant of whether we will develop Type 2 diabetes in our lifetime. A genetic analysis that examines relevant genes can assess the actual risk in individual cases.

Our Diabetes Sensor works by analyzing 9 relevant gene variations that can predispose an individual to Type 2 diabetes, as well as evaluating the compatibility and efficacy of 36 relevant medications based on their genetic profile using a saliva sample provided by the patient. This genetic test helps us determine the likelihood of developing Type 2 diabetes and whether preventive measures are necessary. The test results are provided in a comprehensive report, which includes specific nutritional recommendations to prevent the disease.

The Diabetes Sensor can be a valuable tool for health prevention, helping patients reduce their risk of developing diabetes by adopting a personalized lifestyle.
